SARAH KIRBY, St Nicholas, Leicester, 2022, linocut print

Paper size: 60 cm x 70 cm | Image size: 47 cm x 56 cm

The oldest place of worship in the city – a beautiful and very active little church, dating from the 9th century, in its own little ring-roaded island, a stone’s throw from the cathedral. Next door is Jewry Wall Museum and the amazing peacock pavement… some of the Roman remains have been incorporated into the building of the church, linking it even further into history and the growth of the city.
