The theme Visible but Intangible invites an exploration of the interplay between what we can see and what remains beyond the reach of our perception. As artists we often find ourselves grappling with ideas, emotions and phenomena that are not easily defined yet these intangible elements shape our experiences and our understanding of the world. Through this collaborative portfolio 38 members of Sydney Printmakers have approached this theme with diverse techniques and interpretations, each bringing their own perspective to the idea of what is visible but intangible.

Sydney Printmakers, with its six-decades long history, continues to serve as a vital platform for both innovation and tradition in the printmaking community. This exhibition reflects the collective creativity and skill of its members, each contributing to an enduring legacy that spans not only local but also national and international borders. Their works reside in esteemed collections, such as the National Gallery of Australia, the Art Gallery of NSW, Manly Art Gallery&Museum and Geelong Regional Gallery underscoring the profound impact printmaking has had on the broader cultural landscape.
