FUTURE PROOF
NATIONAL GRADUATE ONLINE EXHIBITION
1 MARCH - 31 MAY
Future Proof: National Online Graduate Exhibition brings together the work of fourteen emerging printmakers from across Australia and New Zealand. Now in its third iteration, Future Proof is a showcase for graduating artists from 2022 who work with printmedia techniques and processes. The exhibiting artists work with relief, screenprint, lithography, new media, drawing and installation. In this way, Future Proof: National Graduate Online Exhibition provides an opportunity for these emerging printmakers to exhibit and share the breadth and variety of printmaking from across Australia and New Zealand, referencing the variety of print languages and material thinking, engaging with print as a form of research and experimentation.
The Future Proof initiative was first developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic that has impacted opportunities for emerging artists as they begin their careers after art school. The program aims to exhibit and share the next crop of emerging printmakers.
The exhibition includes works of art by Mai Cao (NSW), Colleen Eason (NZ), Freyja Fristad (NSW), Keryn Fountain (TAS), Stella Haycock (QLD), Jimmy Kirkus-Lamont (NZ), Frances Malcomson (TAS), Heshanthi Munasinha (VIC), Stuart Meyer-Plath (QLD), Philip Mudin (ACT), Siobhan O'Connor (ACT), Soile Paloheimo (VIC), Tayanah Tosevski (VIC) and Ebony Wilmott (QLD).
