FUTURE PROOF - ONLINE GRADUATE EXHIBITION
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Entries must be submitted by 12pm (midnight), TUESDAY 31 JANUARY 2023. No late entries will be accepted.
2. Future Proof: Online Graduate Exhibition is open to undergraduate and honours students in their final year of study, and/or will graduate from their studies in 2022.
3. Submitted work must be produced predominantly using one or more printmaking mediums subject to Megalo’s approval, such as relief, screenprint, intaglio, lithography - experimental, installation (including a print component), hybrid and digital prints are also accepted for Future Proof. 4. Entries must be the original work of the entrant.
5. All entries must be completed online, and must be accompanied with hi-res digital image(s) of the work. Please note that as a digital exhibition, artworks must be documented at industry level standards. Images that are poorly lit, blurry, not photographed in correct perspective or not at high resolution may not be included in the online exhibition. Megalo is unable to perform editing services on submitted photos.
6. Artists must provide a 100-150 word description in reference to the work submitted. This description will be published and may be used by Megalo in promotional materials in relation to the exhibition, such as social media posts.
7. Artists must also provide a maximum 100 word artist bio. This description will be published and may be used by Megalo in promotional materials in relation to the exhibition, such as social media posts.
7. Digital images must be provided as JPGS, minimum 300dpi, no more than 5mb. Images must be labelled Surname_First Name_Work Title_Year.
8. Image credit to the photographer must be given in the application form. Where the image has been produced by the entrant, state “Image courtesy of the artist” as the image credit.
9. Megalo staff reserve the right to exclude from exhibition the work of any artist if the image submitted is not of high quality - eg. blurry, uneven lighting, low resolution, or crooked images will not be accepted.
10. Applicants must ensure that they complete both PART ONE and PART TWO of the application process. Incomplete submissions, or submitted past the deadline, will be deemed ineligible.
11. The selection panel reserves the right to exclude from exhibition the work of any selected artist if the image submitted does not appear to be in the same medium as stated in the online exhibition application form.
12. Selected work will be exhibited online through the Megalo website for the period of the exhibition.
13. All requests for purchase of work will be directed back to the artist. Megalo is not responsible for accepting any payments on behalf of exhibitors.
14. If the entrant has a professional agreement with a gallery or agent they must refer to their contract and consult with their representative prior to application. Megalo accepts no responsibility for the details in a contract between an artist and their representing gallery.
15. The entrant warrants that they own the intellectual property rights in their entry and that any intellectual property rights and moral rights of a third party have not been infringed. Intellectual property rights of entries remain with the entrant as the copyright owner. It is a condition of entry that the entrant grants to Megalo without conditions, a perpetual royalty-free license to use, publicly display, publicise, reproduce the entry or part of an entry, including in electronic form and broadcast, for publicity, promotional, educational and administrative purposes associated with the Megalo Online Exhibition Program.
