Every year, Megalo Print Studio welcomes artists from across Australia and abroad for our residency programs. These programs have been a core component of our activities for more than three decades, and hundreds of artists have visited our studios to create new work and explore new ideas. As we mark a decade in our current home in Kingston, Wish You Were Here showcases just a few of the artists who have joined us here and become part of our community.

Megalo’s residency programs are open to artists across multiple disciplines, and Wish You Were Here includes works by artists whose practice encompasses painting, sculpture and many other media alongside printmaking. An essential element of these programs is also the opportunity they provide for emerging as well as established artists, such as Megalo’s graduate residencies which are currently offered to students from universities across the ACT, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.

At the end of their visit, each artist leaves a sample of their work for Megalo’s archives, as a record of their residency and a research resource our members. Wish You Were Here draws upon this constantly growing collection, to present a survey of contemporary print practice over the past ten years.

Artists whose work is featured in Wish You Were Here include:

Emma Beer | Aaron Billings | Lucinda Bird | Katie Breckon | Ion Brown | Beatrice Buckland-Willis | Leah Bullen | Nilanjan Das | Rachel Duckhouse | Mark Dustin | Angus Fisher | Kathleen Formoso | Freyja Fristad | Saskia Haalebos | Marie Hagerty | Nicci Haynes | Pia Larsen | Rosemary Lee | Ellie Malin | Arone Meeks | Prihatmoko Moki | Al Munro | Katy Mutton | Tanya Myshkin | Nadia Odlum | Soile Paloheimo | Evan Pank | Quinton Randall | Douglas Schofield | Roisin Spencer | Bruno Vandenberghe | Trent Walter | Sebastian Zylinski
