Reduction Linocut Workshop

Join artist Peter McLean in this weekend workshop as he introduces you to the layered process of reduction lino printing, a technique that allows you to create multi-coloured prints from a single block.

In this hands-on class, you will learn how to carve your image into the lino block. You’ll ink your block, carefully register each layer, and run it through the press to create your prints. The reduction method involves carving away parts of the block after each ink layer, making it a unique and exciting way to create depth and colour variation in your artwork.

Suitability: Beginners or those wishing to refresh their skills.
Materials: Please bring a drawing, photo, or other ideas for your image. All other materials provided.
